Policies Impacting Human Rights Grantmaking

IHRFG aims to contribute to the cultivation of a favorable and encouraging environment for human rights grantmaking, both within the U.S. and globally. As such, IHRFG informs its members of opportunities for engagement with policy developments relevant to human rights grantmaking. IHRFG keeps up-to-date information on these issues in order to serve as a “clearinghouse,” disseminating resources and information to members.

Many in the grantmaking community have expressed ongoing concern regarding the impact of U.S. counter-terrorism policies on U.S.-based charities and their international giving, as well as interest in better understanding U.S. regulations concerning advocacy and lobbying.
